Whilst certainly not quite as eye catching as the FreeStyle Waterproof MP3 Player featured some time back on TFTS, this cylindrical, alloy shelled waterproof MP3 player is ideal for swimmers and surfers looking for a simple, resilient device that will allow them to bob along to their play lists without fearing the device being rendered inoperable by accidental splashes or complete submergence.
Housed in a scratch resistant, aluminium alloy shell, the player comes with 1GB of internal storage capacity and supports MP3, WMA, WMV, ASF and WAV file formats and offers an endurance of up to 8 hours of continuous play back per charge of its internal, rechargeable li-ion battery – which can be charged directly via the player’s USB connection or via a charger sold separately.

The 1GB Waterproof MP3 Player comes complete with waterproof ear buds and USB cable and, whilst somewhat on the basic side, will undoubtedly prove resilient to the knocks and scrapes associated with many water sports.
Unfortunately, little by way of clarification concerning the level of waterproofing the device offers (i.e., to what depth it can be safely submerged) appears to be forthcoming on the product site (which offers the player for bulk orders of 10 units minimum corresponding to a price per unit of around $60).
If any of our readers come across an outlet offering these for purchasing on a single unit basis please let us know and we’ll gladly post the link here for those that are interested.
