Whilst we’ve featured many gadgets that allow you to enjoy your favourite MP3s whilst on the move, such as Soundwalk’s MP3 Vest and Marware’s iTouch Sportsband, these cool, newly announced MP3 sunglasses from Oakley, which come with detachable speakers and up to 2GB of NAND based internal storage capacity, undoubtedly win out in terms of both style and versatility.
Offering a series of beautifully understated controls built into the sunglasses’ arms along with custom Mylar speaker units that can be removed at will, these Oakley Split Thumb shades not only offer music on the move, whist avoiding the need for trailing wires, they also offer high definition ‘Plutonite’ optics affording 100% protection from the sun’s harmful UVA, UVB and UVC rays.
