We’ve been holding back from posting about Christmas related gadgets for some weeks now but, as it’s now November we thought it’s about time we opened the flood gates – and what better to start the ball rolling than with this decidedly geeky artificial snow machine with which you can be assured of a white Christmas regardless of the weather.
Billed as being the very same device used by special effects company Thomas FX, the Professional Motion Picture Snow Machine will produce ad hoc snow that, apparently, is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing thanks to the use of a patented snow solution and the device’s 600 watt motor and integral fan – which will propel the resulting fake snowflakes up to a range of 30 feet.
Snow output can be set according to taste, from light snowfall to full on blizzard type conditions with the device offering up to one hours worth of artificial snow per refill.

Ideal for those who are determined not to allow Mother Nature to stand in the way of a convincing Bing Crosby impression on that all important day, the Professional Motion Picture Snow Machine (which comes supplied with one snow solution bottle) retails for a wallet-thumping $1499.95 with each additional snow solution refill pack costing $124.95.
Of course, those on budgets that won’t quite stretch this far could always invite that long-lost relative with severe dandruff issues in order to gain a similar effect (note to self – must invite Aunt Joan).
