Whilst the previously featured Nokia’s N810 pocket-sized touchscreen, in offering wi-fi internet access and integral GPS, is undoubtedly the perfect solution for those looking for full internet access on the move, it’s versatility is somewhat limited as far as anything other than internet access is concerned – however, this is not something that could be said of Jensen’s new WinXP powered Anyware NVX3000 Wi-Fi Tablet PC.
Measuring in at a mere seven inches in width, Jensen’s Anyware, as well as serving as a fully featured GPS unit complete with full US and Canadian mapping, also comes complete with wi-fi, a built in memory card reader as well as just about every other feature one would expect from a Windows XP powered device.
Offering truly portable, pocket-sized computing the Anyware boasts a 30GB internal HHD as well as 256MB RAM, two USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity and is due to retail for around $1500.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, honing in on this device’s full specifications (processor type/speed, screen resolution, memory expandability, etc) is somewhat hampered by the fact that the products official webpage is experiencing some pretty grave technical issues. However, if a mobile PC that serves as, and is no bigger than, a standard car GPS system is something that sets your pulses racing – and it certainly does it for us – this is one to keep an eye on.
