Eye-Fi Inc have today unveiled their Eye-Fi Wirelss SD Memory Card, which, apart from offering 2GB of storage also happens to be the worlds first wireless enabled SD memory card designed to facilitate the cable-free uploading of imagery from digital cameras to computers using home wi-fi networks.

Functioning as a standard SD card with wireless connectivity built-in, the Eye-Fi will work with any new and old cameras offering the require SD slot and not only offers direct wireless, convenient transfer of imagery to your Pc from your camera but also comes with a facility, via bundled software, to upload imagery directly to seventeen online photo sharing websites – even taking care of re-sizing the imagery if required.

“Digital cameras have made it extremely easy to take pictures, but the rest of the process is a hassle,” said Jef Holove, chief executive officer of Eye-Fi. “The Eye-Fi Card removes the barriers and lets users get to the fun part of sharing and printing their memories. We’re putting the magic back into photography.”

The Eye-Fi Wireless 2GB SD Memory Card is already available and costs a mere $99.99.
