Germ Busting UV-C HEPA Filter Vacuum Cleaner

Gadgets utilising UV-C light to help remove bacteria and viruses are nothing new, indeed we’ve already feature two handheld UV-C germ killing devices here on TFTS – namely the Lightwand and the Mobile Sized Nanotech Germ Killer – but this hi-tech upright vacuum cleaner is the world first to feature UV-C germ busting technology.

The Germ Eliminating Upright Vacuum, as well as coming with a disposable HEPA filter bag which captures 99.97% of all particles down to the size of 0.3 microns also features a 35 watt UV-C light unit (as used in hospital sterilisation equipment) mounted on the base which will additionally serve to eliminate 99.9% of potentially harmful, otherwise invisible things that standard vacuums (even pink cyclone based cleaners) are powerless against – such as dust mites, mould, flea eggs and even viruses and bacteria.

The UV-C vacuum cleaner comes with a powerful 6 ¼ amp motor, a detachable hose for stair carpets and, with the embedded UV-C bulb rated at 8000 hours of use, should prove an invaluable tool in your fight not only against dust but germs and pet related bugs for years to come.

The Germ Eliminating Upright Vacuum retails for $499.95

There’s an actual hands-on review of this vacuum here (including some dialog between a former customer and the company regarding certain issues):
