Anyone who is even faintly familiar with other Hammacher Schlemmer transportation devices will have correctly guessed already, just by the appearance of this vehicle, that this three wheeled Coupe Scooter (the front of which strikes us as being startlingly similar to the updated VW Beetle) is indeed their latest foray into practical and ceaselessly distinctive A to B devices.
Powered by a 50cc air cooled four-stroke engine capable of powering this bug-eyed, three wheeled two-seater up to a maximum speed of 30 mph whilst achieving between 60 to 80 miles per gallon – facilitating a range of up to 100 miles on a single tank of fuel – the scooter measures in at a mere 56” in width allowing it to be easily trailer mounted for optimum mobility.
Coming complete with roll bars and two point restraint seat belts, the steel framed, fiberglass shelled scooter boasts independent all-wheel suspension and shock absorbers, 13” alloy wheels, front disc brakes and a rear drum brake as well as front, rear and side mounted indicators (the front indicators being integrated into the headlight mounts), brake lights and even folding rear view mirrors.
And just to top that off, the chrome dashboard comes with a fuel gauge, a tachometer and a speedometer.
Great for those lazy trips in the country with your loved one when you’re more than happy to watch the world go by whist occasioning a lengthy traffic jam, the Two Person Three Wheeled Scooter Coupe retails for a mere $5999.95.
