KEF MUON Designer Speaker Units for Serious Audiophiles with Deep Pockets

If you’re serious about the reproductive quality of your music then you’ll know that the last thing you need to do is pump your sounds through a pair of tiny, cheap speakers – but KEF’s limited edition MUON speakers take things to vastly opposing extremes in being almost seven feet in height (and that’s whilst standing on the floor) and costing a staggering $140,000.
Constructed from super-formed aluminium (which is described as being a similar process to vacuum forming) the resulting four-way speakers utilise KEF’s Acoustic Compliance Enhancement technology which, according to the official website effectively doubles the volume output via the absorption of air molecules courtesy of activated carbon – which, reading between the lines roughly translated to some serious volume (quite how much, however, is not actually stated).

Designed by Ross Lovegrove, the $140,000 KEF MUON speakers are strictly limited to a production run of just 100 pairs, so if you fancy them in your front room and you have a bank balance that can withstand such a pounding, you had better register your interest pronto.
