We’ve featured a highly desirable RD-D2 projection unit, and we’ve featured a curious animatronic brain that will put many in mind of Mars Attacks and now we have this full size exacting, animated remote controlled replica of the B-9 robot as featured in the cult sci-fi 60’s television series Lost in Space to add to our collection.
Measuring in at a 6 ½ feet in height, the B-9 robot is constructed from fibreglass, acrylic, aluminium and steel and has been faithfully reproduced using the original archived models of the original television prop.

Operated by remote control, the B-9 boasts a range of movements including rotating torso, animated ear sensors, clawed arms and extending soil sampler and it even comes with its own integral 240 watt sound system featuring 511 sampled recordings from Richard Tufeld, the actor behind the original B-9’s voice.
Alas, unlike the previously featured BeerBot, it will not run to pouring you a cool beer in the process.
If you’re a devotee of retro sci-fi TV and you have money to burn – to the tune of $24,500 - the Lost in Space Animatronic B-9 Robot should prove hard to resist though you’ll be wise to account for the additional expense resulting from a divorce if you’re married and your wife happens across the receipt.
