Disgo Video Camcorder - The Cut Price You Tube & Video Blogging Cam

Disgo Video Cut Price You Tube Video Blogging Cam

Of late we’ve seen the release of a number of light weight camcorders aimed squarely at You Tubers and video bloggers and now, to add to the previously featured Flip Camcorder and Sony’s Net Sharing Cam, we have this extremely rudimentary camcorder, the Disgo Video, which is designed for quick, simple capture for those wishing to upload and share their creations. And, though but no means quite as desirable as the Flip, or as beautifully designed as Sony’s Net Sharing Cam, the Disgo has one thing very much on its side, as it costs less than £40.

Disgo Video Camcorder Detail

Powered by two AA batteries and featuring a two inch colour TFT, as far as looks go, the Disgo Video is hardly going to win any awards, and the same is true as far as specifications are concerned – it only records at 320×240 resolution, for example – but where this particular gadget excels is ease of use – it records directly to SD memory cards (the 1GB SD card supplied offering an hours worth of video storage) and it only comes with three buttons: one-touch record, playback and delete.

If you routinely upload videos to You Tube or you’re a video blogger and you’re looking for a robust camcorder that will perform the job admirably that happens, at the time of writing, to cost a third of the price of the aforementioned Flip camcorder then the Disgo Video may well be exactly what you’re looking for.

The Disgo Video is due to become available in the UK from Currys and PC World stores as well as online in the next couple of days.

Update: Disgo have now upgraded this device to become the Disgo Video Plus.

I would like to mention that this camera does not support 640×480 recording.

If you read the above link you will see that the sensor iz set to display 640×480 video on the viewer, however it record only in 320×240. This is not bad at all as this is the perfect youtube.com camera.

I have one and I have to warn you. I have dropped mine 2 weeks ago and the image got blurry. The problem was that the lens was attached quite bad originally. I had it set and glued it back and everything is OK.

      Nifty little camera there!
