Zoom H2 Handy Stereo Recorder

Whether you’re just looking to record personal memos, record an entire seminar or record your latest soon not to be chart topping hit, the Zoom H2 Handy Recorder will capture every subtle nuance in glorious stereo directly to an SDcard for storage, podcasting or for uploading to audio production software suites.

Admittedly, many MP3 devices have inbuilt recording functionality, however, where Zoom’s H2 Handy recorder excels is in the quality of its recordings with high resolution audio being either sampled at 24-bits/96kHz in PCM (WAV) format - for quality audio that’s claimed to surpass CD quality - or MP3 in varying bit rates (for considerably smaller file sizes) courtesy of the gadget’s 360 degree twin (front/rear) microphones.

The H2 Handy Recorder records directly to SD memory cards and so is resistant to vibration and the mechanical noise often associated with tape and disc based recording and will accept SDCards up to 4GB which will allow for 6 hours of stereo recording in 16bit/44.1kHz WAV format or an astonishing 70 hours in 128kbps MP3 format.

The device features BWF (Broadcast Wave Format) compatible time/track marking, pre-record function (which will continuously capture the most recent 2 seconds of audio thus allowing you to capture recordings on the fly without missing a thing) and the H2 will also serve as a USB microphone. And, as if that were not enough, the H2 Handy recorder also comes with a digital metronome and a pitch tuner to assist in tuning instruments.
