We’re a little late in posting about this particular gadget but, whereas ordinarily we’d simply not post about something already so widely covered, the MicroDrone remote surveillance drone from German company MicroDrones GmbH genuinely gets our pulses racing – besides that, it’s guaranteed to feature in TFTS on the premise that ‘if it flies it’s in’.

Anyone who has ever taken a lung full of pure oxygen will testify as to its invigorating qualities which act to stimulate brain activity and counter fatigue and, whilst personal oxygen cylinders are widely obtainable, this device, known as the Obox, offers a somewhat longer term solution thanks to generating increased oxygen levels according to requirement which is then administered via a headset.

Let’s be honest here, the chances of Creative ever seriously impacting on Apple’s share of the MP3 player market is fairly remote as, whilst Creative undoubtedly produce some robust contenders to Apple’s range of devices, they never quite offer the level of design flair (or the associated hype) needed to take on the Big Fruit – but as an alternative to Apple’s Shuffle, the T100 MP3 stick is hard to ignore.

iRobot, a company well known for their range of automated vacuuming robots, have taken what many would see as the next logical step in utilising their technology to produce the ConnectR, a remotely controlled robot which will allow you to keep a virtual eye on your loved ones via the internet whilst you’re tied up elsewhere.

We’ve seen wind up torches and wind up radios, and we’ve even seen wind up laptops and now, to add to the collection of ecologically sound gadgets, we have a wind up digital media player which will help conserve electricity by requiring you to give your wrist a workout prior to listening to you favourite MP3s or watching video clips.

In truth, when we initially came across Philips AmbiLight technology we were somewhat sceptical as to whether it would genuinely add to the viewing experience or whether their AmbiLight technology was something that, however cool and desirable (dare I say ‘trendy’?), was merely an aesthetic embellishment that, in practice, serves merely as a rather gimmicky selling point – the question is, has this video put an end to our indecisiveness?
