Stick Sound – The Worlds Ultimate Minimalist FM Radio

Stick Sound FM Radio

A while ago we posted about what we consider to be the ultimate minimalist wrist watch and, understandably, it set many readers pulses racing – not least a chap we shall simply refer to as ‘Don’ (hope things worked out for you Don). So, with that post very much in mind, we could not possibly pass up on offering up this Stick Sound as being quite possibly the world’s ultimate minimalist FM radio.

The Stick Sound, which resembles an old Atari Joystick (or is that just us?), simply consists of a single stick control for tuning the radio, adjusting the volume and switching the radio on and off.

The Stick Sound FM Radio is manufactured from aluminium and is available in either white lacquer or a blue finish and what makes this gadget all the more appealing is that, when the unit is on, the base glows with a pastel blue light (the traditional adage here at TFTS holds true – put a blue light in a device and we’ll probably lust after it).

The Stick Sound FM Radio, which retails for €29 ($39 / £19) is designed by Lexon, measures in at a mere 9 x 9 x 10.3cm so it is not only highly portable but will fit nicely on a bookshelf – though personally we think it deserves much better placement.
