Chill Out with the Calming Ambient Projector

We’ve previously featured a number of ambient projectors on TFTS that, in the main, serve to project the night sky across the ceiling and walls of rooms, and we’ve even featured a Moon Light complete with remote controlled phases, but this calming ambient projector known as the Umine Healing Theatre really appeals to us as it uses the calming effects of water to wash away the stresses of your day.
Seemingly a modern equivalent of a lava lamp, the Umine ambient projector utilises a series of blue and green LEDs to project what appears to be animated water across your ceiling – an idea we positively love – though we are slightly unsure as to whether the included sound effects of bubbles, dolphins and sea gulls are quite as appealing though, thankfully, these can either be turned off or the device can alternatively function as a speaker unit into which you can plug your MP3 player.

The device is battery powered for maximum portability and comes with a timer function that will power the projector down after 30 minutes – by which time you’ll doubtless be either fast asleep or too chilled out to notice.
The Takara Tomy Umine Healing Theatre ambient projector (you can see a video of it in action via the official product site as linked, however, be prepared to want to hug a tree afterwards) retails for approximately £45 (Pink Floyd’s back catalogue not included).
