We cannot envisage this being a particularly long post – after all there is just so much you can write about Russian Dolls – but something about this decidedly modern take on the traditional really appeals to us as, instead of a series of dolls housed within each other, this particular set from Art Lebedev starts with a terabyte doll and gradually works its way down though to the final doll – the bit.
The result is a total of six dolls, with each representing a particular chunk of computer memory – namely the terabyte, gigabyte, megabyte, kilobyte, the byte and the bit.

It’s hardly rocket science, and as to whether it’s even a gadget is open to question but it’s certainly undoubtedly geeky and is sure to appear in a computer/IT department near you any time soon.
The Matyryoshkus Computer Memory Russian Dolls retail for approximately $34 / €27.
