Whilst Sergio’s newly announced iBuddy and iSpin iPod mini mixing desks are far removed from the professional full spec mixing desks you would expect to find in a professional recording studio (or the previously featured, jaw droppingly gorgeous Baby Grand Piano Mixing Studio) they certainly offer a host of functions that will appeal to semi-pro or amateur DJs looking to host the obligatory ‘80’s gold mega-mix at a family wedding.
The iBuddy and iSpin will allow you to mix MP3s from two docked iPods whilst charging the devices with cross fading and effects such as reverb to infinity, flange (where would a mix be without the liberal use of flanging?), pitch to zero, autophase and LP/HP filtering.
The only difference between the two models, as far as we can make out, is that the iSpin simply replaces the iBuddy’s flange and autophase sliders with a spin dial.
Further details concerning the iBuddy and iSpin iPod mixing desks, including detail product specifications, can be found via the Sergio website which appears to be under construction at the time of writing so we are unable to advise as to pricing.
