On the whole we’re not particular fans of gold, but in the case of these tiny and rather snazzy Younus Swing Gold USB Flash Drives we’re prepared to make an exception on the basis that, unlike certain other rather crudely styled devices, such as hideous Gold USB Flash Drive, these are beautifully understated as well as being extremely practical on account of their diminutive proportions.
Admittedly, unlike the vile Gold Flash Drive linked to, this Younus Swing Gold drive may not be made of solid gold and it may not complete with an embedded diamond but, whilst from a monetary perspective we know which of greater value we also know which one we would opt for if given a choice between the two.
Add into the equation that the Younus Swing Gold Flash Drive – which is available with capacities ranging from 512MB to 16GB – measures a mere 8.7mm in thickness and what you have is a flash drive that not only looks good, but is no bigger than the size of your average thumb. Of course, an unfortunate by-product of its tiny proportions is that we suspect it’s all too easy to misplace as well.
Further details can be obtained by clicking the link in the above paragraph, however, you’ll need to be fluent in Korean.

Gold USB Flash Drive, Another Insane Indulgence?…
Okay, we’re starting to see a trend here. If a device turns into a commodity, start gussying it up with gold plating, or even solid gold. Is that what’s happened with this Younous swing gold flash drive, holding 512 MB……
[...] Apparently not. This thing must not even be clad in real gold, because from what we can gather using our limited Korean translation skills, the cheapest one of these drives costs a grand total of $15.47. Well, you could just tell everybody it’s made of solid gold. Incidentally, 16GB in such a small size might actually be useful, at least until the gold plastic wears off.
