If an iPod Bucket is not to your tastes and the Shanling MC-30 is a little too retro in design for your liking, then the up and coming PicoForte 1 iPod Component Docking Station from the renowned audiophiles at KEF could be just what you’re looking for.
The PicoForte 1 is billed as being capable of offering ‘KEF quality sound from your iPod’ that will ‘revolutionise the way you experience your iPod’ courtesy of its die-cast metal, acoustically inert KEF 1001 speakers that deliver rich and detailed sound that’s said to be comparable with KEF’s far larger speaker solutions.
Compatible with the broad range of iPod models as well as other MP3 devices (via an audio jack input), the KEF PicoForte 1 iPod Component Docking Station comes with a credit-card style remote and can also be hooked up to an optional separate subwoofer should you require a little more punch at low frequencies.
Due to become commercially available next month, the KEF PicoForte 1 iPod Component Docking Station, which is available in either black or white, will retail for £250.
