I bought the boom bucket from brookstone and they don’t sell it anymore. Mine had a defect and doesn’t recharge the battery, I can only use it wired.

Had problems with battery myself – you can get replacement free of charge if you bought within a year from calling brookstone number. Batteries were on backorder but got mine 2 weeks ago.

Interesting that battery issues have cropped up (inc. recharging issues). Seems to be common based on the comments above.

My Boom Bucket has been flawless up until this point. Battery life has been great, no problem there but my audio has dropped out! My iPod plays, all functions work from the Bucket and the Remote, videos even play but no audio! I hit the reset button and the audio “hits” for just a brief moment and then nothing! I’m so frustrated since the unit is awesome for all occasions, sounded great when working and the battery ( which seems to be most everyone else’s problem has been superb. So what gives? I don’t think it’s a loose connection or else why would it briefly emit sound upon reset? I am perplexed, love my Bucket and haven’t gotten nearly enough use out of it for this to happen! Please help if possible as I am a big fan and miss having my portable great sounding speaker system to carry with me for all occassions. Any tips or advice as to what to do to remedy this problem? Have you heard of anything like this happening before? I sure was hoping the reset would do it but just the slightest noise out of the speakers and then nothing. Help for I am one of this unit’s biggest fans! Thanks for a speedy reply and I am grateful for any help at all! I’ve never gotten the unit wet nor banged it or anything which would give me a clue as to WHY it appears to be fine but no audio!
Thanks and here’s hoping it’s an easy fix!

BTW: My iPod works in all other players, headsets are fine, USB’s in the autos are operating well and even the old Audio technic plug in speakers are fine. The unit is an older 30GB black model which I have The Bucket set for, if this helps at all,.,,,,,,,,,,,,,Thanks
