The Swedish Black Beauty – Neonode N2 Touchscreen Phone

We strongly suspect that, as far as the Neonode N2’s styling is concerned, you will either love it or hate it – though as far as TFTS is concerned it’s very much the former.

The Swedish Neonode N2 is a dark affair and, in that respect we don’t doubt it’ll prove d’rigor for the gothic community, but we love the minimalist styling though we take issue with a number of sites that draw the inevitable comparisons with Apple’s iPhone (yawn). (Yes, we admit, the iPhone is a desirable piece of kit but quite why we should see every new cell phone in context with Apple’s much hyped offering is quite beyond us.)

The Neonode N2 comes with a 2” touchscreen with 65K colours, offers GSM Quadband 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 support and comes with all the extras you would expect from such a device (Bluetooth, MP3/WMA/WAV audio, MPEG/WMA video, expandability via miniSD, and an integral camera).

And, whilst it may not be as feature packed or as flashy as the iPhone, we love the distinctive minimalist design.

The Neonode N2 is due for release in Europe in late Summer.
