The Instant Beetle Shell Backpack Chair

This curious concept brings an altogether new meaning to the phrase ‘take a seat’ as this is, quite literally, what this concept will enable you to do as this portable chair has been designed to be carried on your back, very much like a backpack, thus enabling you to sit down in comfort wherever you so please.

One slight problem with the design is that if you are in need of a portable chair then you probably want to carry more than just a chair. With this contraption attached to you back, however, you’ll have to forgo your standard backpack as the chair attached to your back will force you into the realms of hand luggage alone – thus severely impacting either on your mobility or your load carrying capacity.

Still, it’s nice to know that, having trekked half way up a mountain looking like a giant beetle you can sit in comfort whilst contemplating whether it might have been a somewhat more sensible idea to have brought your backpack instead so that you wouldn’t have had to forgo your sandwiches, your tent and your emergency flares.
