Dot Matrix LED Digital Wall Clock

In terms of evolutionary development we have to accept that we must be fairly low in the scheme of things as you really would have thought that we have had plenty of time to get over the whole ‘aren’t digital watches cool’ thing. And yet, apparently, this is not the case as here we are posting about a digital time piece (in this case a wall clock) and, notwithstanding the above, we think it’s pretty cool.

Available in three colours (red, yellow and green) this Dot Matrix LED Clock not only displays the time but also the date with the day and month scrolling across the screen at a user-defined speed.

Dot Matrix LED Clock with Scrolling Date

Slight problem. As cool as this looks, we have to mark it down rather substantially on the basis that – just like this previously featured Animated Blue LED Clock (which, incidentally, we prefer) - whilst it may look great hanging on the wall the trailing power cable will look absolutely terrible. Quite why this does not come with the ability to be battery powered escapes us completely – after all, LEDs consume little in the way of energy. (Are we being too harsh here?)

That said, if you can live with the cable issue and you’re looking for a modern wall clock (and you have a thing about LEDs like us) this Dot Matrix LED Clock could be just what you’re looking for.
