If you are a regular reader of TFTS you will no doubt have noticed that we’ve been inaccessible for just under 24hrs – which, it has to be said, have felt like the longest 24hrs of our lives.

We seem to be coming across some frankly breathtaking design of late, what with the previously featured iRiver Life Unit and now this sleek, beautifully styled external hard drive courtesy of the boffins at Iomega.

Regular readers of TFTS will know that we have a great deal of respect for iRiver, primarily due to the fact that, whilst so many of its rivals are so busy clambering to mimic Sony’s dictum on style (often merely producing pale, lacklustre imitations), iRiver are not afraid to create a style that is undoubtedly and unequivocally their very own.

This curious concept brings an altogether new meaning to the phrase ‘take a seat’ as this is, quite literally, what this concept will enable you to do as this portable chair has been designed to be carried on your back, very much like a backpack, thus enabling you to sit down in comfort wherever you so please.

Imagine the scene. A designer is approached and told that company X wants to produce a USB flash drive that stands head and shoulders above the rest.
