Gear Stick Coat Rack for Petrol Heads

Following on from the Car Wheel Alarm Clock (complete with gear stick) we posted about yesterday we could not hold back from posting about this highly original coat rack aimed squarely at petrol heads.

A great cloakroom gadget, this Gear Stick Coat Rack, which is constructed from steel and measures 83.5cm in length, features five different gear sticks that serve as hooks and we don’t doubt that it would it make a great gift for any car enthusiast.

The price is 8,190 (Japanese) Yen which is close to USD$68.

Thanks Tiago – I looked everywhere but couldn’t see the price given. That said, I never managed to spot the ball in spot the ball competitions either lol.

Is there any way to order this in the U.S? I assume not, or there’d be a English website, but it’s wishful thinking?

Hi Erik,
Probably wishful thinking, I’m afraid – in the same way that I keep hoping that I’ll wake up next to Kate Moss each morning.
I hope that a US based gadget site will see this and source it so it does become available outside Japan considering its now been featured on many sites so let’s hope.
Either ways, more change of this becoming available in the US than Kate Moss climbing into bed with me, so its not all bad.

QUICK NOTE:
We are aware that the reflection in the image is not exactly centered. Personally I blame this on several bottles of Bud (my adsense advertising revenue paid for half a mouthful, incidentally) and we will try to be more careful in future.
