Samsung 3D Ready HDTV DLP Systems

You could soon have a 3D high definition television in your front room for a mere $100 supplemental payment thanks to electronics giant Samsung who will be offering the upgrade package to their DLP HDTV packages from September.
The $100 upgrade consists of a 3D emitter that will plug into your Samsung HDTV as well as two pairs of 3D glasses though the technology relies on broadcasters producing programming that implements the required post production processing to take advantage of this feature and, at the time of writing, it is unclear just how many broadcasters will make such content available.
As with all emerging technologies, 3D television may or may not eventually become established, but at a mere $100 for Samsungs HDTV 3D upgrade the expenditure required is hardly going to break the bank.

Best Buy Toys With Apple iTV Concept, Calls It Apple HDTV In Own Survey

I’m in the 3D business, and have been testing the new 3D Ready Samsungs. They are fantastic. Best 3D I’ve ever seen – better than 3D and the IMAX (imho).
You need to hook up a PC to get the 3D – and there are not too many 3D-DVD movies available. But I am sure that the number of 3D releases will increase.
You can play PC video games in HD in 3D on these new sets.
I bought a 46B7000 just a few months ago, not too happy it is now obsolete, but I guess that’s what happens.
