Chill Out Ambient Digital Tide Light

Ambient lighting is all the rage at the moment whether it be simple light changing LED based devices, a Moon Phase Light or a personal planetarium that project entire constellations across your room’s ceiling and we’ve even seen cool devices that project a digital Aurora Borealis effect across your room (as featured by our good friend Technabob in this post) on but this Tide light, known as the Room Palette, certainly got our attention.

In essence, this battery powered Room Palette gadget, which measures 13×18.5×11-22cm dependant on positioning, consists of a fully adjustable cylinder filled with some thick liquid or gel like substance – we are unable to ascertain exactly which – that is lit via a light so that when it rocks it projects a beautifully relaxing, blue hued and somewhat trippy tide like effect across your ceilings and walls.

The cheapest price we have found this great gadget to be available for is around the $20 / €15 / £10 mark (non inclusive of Plink Floyd’s entire back catalogue) though it may be worth spending some time on search engines as this price excludes shipping from Japan – namely from this site.
