Solar Powered Reflector Cooker

We love concepts here at Thoughts from the Sidelines, and when we see designs such as this it really isn’t difficult to see why.

This clever Solar Powered Cooker concept by Koo Ho Shin, which we can’t help but think resembles some kind of hybrid Sun Flower, has been designed to facilitate the cooking of food using nothing more than the solar energy.

Quite how well this concept would work is obviously highly dependant on the prevailing weather conditions – we suspect that trying to cook a good T0Bone under a super cell storm may be somewhat over optimistic – but we love the idea and the styling.

Solar Powered Reflector Cooker Detail

The petals, or rather fanned reflectors, of the Solar Cooker are fully adjustable to allow for optimum focusing of the solar energy onto the coverable glass cooking platform with the by product being that the Solar Cooker can be dismantled with ease and stored using the minimum of space.

Further details concerning this great concept can be obtained via this page.
