The average American woman is consuming 335 calories per day more than she did 30 years ago.  Doing the math, these means that the typical American woman needs to walk 75 minutes per day MORE than she did 30 years ago simply to maintain her weight, not lose an ounce.  This is probably not going to happen in our hectic society, and as we continue with these outlandish portions, obesity continues to skyrocket.
