Smart Card Credit Cards with Inbuilt Digital Displays

SmartCard Credit Cards

It would appear that our credit cards may soon be able to tell us just the time or even just how much credit we have left to fork out on the latest gadgets thanks to SmartCard technology that allows an embedded display to be built into the card itself.

Details are fairly scant at the moment but it is thought that these smart cards could evolve so as to even show you the latest deals from shops you visit, thus becoming an advertising space on the credit card itself to which stores an beam information to shoppers, thus trying to get you to part with even more of your hard earned money.

Personally, we don’t like the idea of a credit card in our wallet becoming a mini advertising hoarding, but we strongly suspect that this is where the future’s headed.
