In a further push in the highly competitive mega pixel war, Sony has unveiled their latest member of the Cyber Shot family of digital cameras in the form of the DSC-W200.
Boasting a resolution of 12.1 mega pixels the Cyber Shot DSC-W200 digital camera offers high definition output in a compact camera complete with a Carl Zeiss 3x optical zoom lens (at the very least, a prerequisite of modern digital cameras of late) a 2.5 inch LCD screen and (as is tradition, rather meagre) 31MB internal memory.
Features:
- 12,1 effective megapixels with 3x optical zoom, 6.2x HD smart zoom, 6x digital zoom, up to 18x smart zoom.
- High Definition output for displaying still images on a HD TV (using optional cable) with Large 2.5-inch (6.2cm) LCD screen, and optical viewfinder with HD slideshow with music for playback on camera LCD screen or a HD TV (16:9).
- Double Anti-blur technology combining Super SteadyShot and ISO 3200 high sensitivity (REI), plus ISO 6400 extra high sensitivity (REI) at 3 effective megapixels.
- Face Detection automatically tracks and focuses on faces in the picture.
- Carl-Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens
- MPEG Movie VX (VGA 30fps movie mode with audio)
- PictBridge for direct connection to printer without need for PC.
The Sony Cyber Shot DSC-W200 is set for a May release at will cost in the region of $400.
