Over the last few years we’ve seen technology take on virtually every device we carry around with us and inject them with further functionality, except, it would seem, for pens. Curiously these compact devices that the majority of us carry around with us seem, on the whole, to have been over looked except for the odd variation here and there.
We’ve previously covered some pens that dare to offer a little more functionality than that of a mere scribbling device before on TFTS – namely the brilliantly wacky Scroll Pen – but we are particularly impressed with this Swiss Army knife pen that manages to fit a total of thirteen essential tools into the aircraft grade aluminum alloy constructed pen itself.
Ideal for campers, hunters, Bond impersonators or just geeks the tools included, as listed, are a flat screwdriver, a hole puncher, a steel file, a short cutting blade, an ear pick, a nail remover, a long cutting blade, tweezers, a phillips screwdriver, a steel fork, a saw and, of course, a writing implement (I count that as 12 tools – and where’s the all important bottle opener?) all of which become available by undoing the pen into its three component cylinders.
The Swiss Army Pen retails at £12.95 / €19.04 / $23.31 and can be obtained via this site.
