Segway Robotic Mobility PlatformDeveloped by Segway and known as the RMP (Robotic Mobility Platform) this robotic device has been developed to carry other robots that may not be able to move themselves around like a personal taxi but we think that Segway have missed something here as we can’t help but think that it could function brilliantly as a robotic coffee table or drinks tender.

Just imagine all the time you would save the next time you have guests around. Instead of spending the entire time trekking to and from your kitchen or mini bar, you could just send the RMP out to your guests thus leaving you free to concentrate on getting drunk/trying to get off with someone/making a complete fool of yourself.

The only slight concern is that the RMP will set you back from $11,000 to $50,000 depending on the model but once you consider other possible uses – such as putting this under the chair your mother-in-law always takes as her own when she comes to stay, thus enabling you to wait till she’s asleep before sending her out of the front door and into town – it seems a small price to pay.
