Hi Dan,

It is always great to hear back from the 'people behind the products', so thank you for taking the time to post a comment.

If you were thinking about having Princess Leia on the Giraffe's screen then you obviously haven't met some of my past managers. :-)

It's a great product, Dan, and we will be following the news on your site with great interest. Of course if you would like to send one to TFTS to assist in keeping the staff here in order......:-)

When we were thinking of Star Wars characters to feature on the screen when we were designing the Giraffe, we were thinking more along the lines of Natalie Portman or Princess Leia, but if Darth Vader does it for you, then by all means! ;-)

Seriously, though, as with virtually any new communications technology, we were expecting the initial "oooooo.......what's this?" reaction, but the Giraffe was specifically designed to be approachable and easy to interact with. We've addressed the issue here on our blog.

You can read about other useful applications on our website.

BTW, it's true the Giraffe can push open a door, but it can't turn a door knob. We have our hands full trying to teach it to use a light saber!
