The Dissolvable Disappearing Dress V2

Somewhat less formidable that the previously featured electrified jacket, though no less interesting, this eco friendly dissolvable dress has been developed at the University of Sheffield in a partnership between a designer and a chemist, and has been produced to showcase new materials that should ease the environmental effects of consumer products.

The material used to create the dissolvable dress is the same type of substance used in the coverings used for detergent sachets for washing machines and dishwashers, namely a clear polymer polyvinyl alcohol based material that will completely breakdown with sustained contact with moisture.

Obviously this is not the sort of dress you would want to spill a drink on at a party, though, curiously, that just so happens to be the sort of party I would be more than happy to attend, especially if the building has somewhat oversensitive fire sprinklers installed.

We anxiously await the development of a bikini made from the same fabric.
