What with the Geneva Motor Show soon to be upon us it was inevitable that we would see a rash of posts concerning all manner of public unveilings and - along with the previously featured KTM X-Bow - it’s good to see that Lotus have a new sports car to show off this year.
Boasting a power-to-weight ratio comparable to that of a 1960’s formula one car, the Lotus 2-Eleven can accelerate to 60 mph in a very respectable 3.8 seconds and 100mph in a mere 9.1 seconds thanks to its supercharged 1796cc engine.

The car will come in two versions – a road going model and a track-only model which will be fitted with a carbon fibre rear wing, high downforce front splitter.
With production due to commence in April the Launch Edition, as pictured, will be priced from £39,995 whilst the track edition – which will only be made available outside of the UK – will retail in the region of €49,575.
