TFTS Site Redesign Complete

TFTS New LogoJusting sitting short of 100,000 hits, we are happy to report that the site redesign is now complete – though regular readers really cannot have failed to notice the aesthetic overall. Surprisingly it went without a hitch, though most of the development was completed on a separate test site and follows the additional development of a new sister site to TFTS – of which, more news soon.

Along with the site redesign we also have a new logo, as we have been logo-less for a while now (and a bit of branding never hurt anybody). We also have a new custom RSS icon that, let’s face it, you can hardly not notice.

A few further features have been added or extended during the redesign of the site which includes an extended selection of random posts by image on the left sidebar – you’re sure to find something interesting there if you are just looking to browse – as well as the inclusion of a full Sitemap to supplement the archives. Again, if you are just looking to browse the wealth of content we have here at TFTS then the Sitemap should be a good starting point (and can be accessed via the right sidebar Pages menu).

Old Site vs New Site

We hope that you like the new design, and the extra functionality it offers and, needless to say, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Now all we have to look towards is breaking the magical 100,000 visitors mark and continuing to seek out the best gadgets and curiosities for your reading pleasure.

the new design look more simple than the previous one..esp when we look into the header..and a question about the logo, are you design it by yourself or what??

but, overalls, i like this new design..(“,)

      Thanks for the feedback.

If ‘more simple’ translates as ‘less cluttered’ then this is exactly what I was aiming at, so it’s good to see that this is indeed the result.

As for the header, yes I designed the logo myself (out of interest, why do you ask?).
