The Motion C5 Wireless Clipboard

The days of clipboards and medical notes at the end of hospital beds could be coming to an end, thanks to the Motion C5 mobile clinical assistant (MCA), a handheld computer which is capable of retrieving a patients clinical notes, records and even imagery of X-rays and scans via a high speed wireless connection.

The Motion C5, which is developed by Motion Computing in cooperation with Intel, has already completed intense hospital trials in the UK which proved enormously successful.

Powered by an Intel Centrino 1.20GHz, the C5 MCA boasts 512MB of internal RAM (upgradeable to 1.5GB) and a 30GB hard disk (upgradeable to 60GB). The C5 MCA also features an onboard 2.0 mega pixel camera and runs on either XP or Vista operating systems.
