The iPod seems to get just about everywhere and soon, thanks to the US aviation company LoPresti SpeedMerchants it could soon be hooked up to a range of light aircraft to serve as a mini blackbox flight data recorder capable of recording over 500 hours of flight time.
The extent to which the iPod Blackbox will operate remains unclear for the time being, though it should be noted that light aircraft are not required to carry blackbox flight data recorders (used primarily to analyse aircraft accidents).
Needless to say that TFTS hopes that any iPod blackbox will come complete with a full pre-flight test that will refuse to allow the aircraft to fly should any Maria Carey tracks be installed.
