Bizarre USB Face Mask Air Purifier

Bizarre USB Face Mask Air PurifierJust when you think that you’ve seen everything when it comes to curious USB devices along pops another one, such as this truly bizarre USB powered Face Mask Air Purifier – which, it must be said, looks uncannily like a certain piece of cricketing apparatus worn to keep certain assets safe.

Available in Japan for 2480 Yen (roughly $20), the Thanko USB Mask is manufactured from silicon and features two fans – one on either side of the mask – that draw in a steady supply of air which is then filtered so as to remove pollutants and allergens. Great for allergy sufferers, I’m sure, though I suspect that the persistent humming of the fan motors could become rather irritating with prolonged use.

Of course, being USB powered, should you wish to wear the mask outdoors (where it’s probably most needed) you’ll have no choice but to take along your laptop and, of course, a nice bottle of Kiante.

I’m not sure what to make of this. It seems they may be getting carried away with the whole USB-powered “something”.
“They” being “people who invent weird stuff”

Is there already a USB powered… massager? I could have sworn I saw something like that on this site already..
