PC Compact Cassette ConvertorIf you’re anything like me then you have boxes of compact cassettes stashed around the house that you never listen to but can’t be parted with – because you know that there’s some good stuff on them, invariably recorded from the radio as you hovered on the pause button in a concerted though ultimately doomed attempt to second guess when the DJ was going to jump in so your could hammer down the pause button to edit him out (thus providing you with your own ‘megamix’ which became a hot favourite until the cassette deck chewed it up).

And, whilst the days of unravelling miles of tape from your player’s heads and spindles and using a pencil to wind the creased tape back in are long since gone it would be nice if we had the option of transferring some of our extensive C90/C60 collections to a convenient digital format, such as MP3.

The Plus Deck offers exactly this functionality. Simply slot it into a spare 3.5 inch bay in your computer, hook it up and you have a full auto-reverse cassette deck with which you can transfer your expensive Pick of the Pops collections to digital format whist shaking your head and smiling inanely as you relive the music of your past (and rack your brains to remember the names of the DJs as they say half a word at the end of every single track).

The Plus Cassette Deck retails at $129.95, further details of which can be gained by clicking here.
