According todesigner Pierre Haulot life is merely “a succession of short or long term goals”, and we can’t help but agree. And, thanks to this concept by the aforementioned Pierre we could soon be measuring our time in relation to our goals as his Linear Scale Watch works very much like the progress bar you’re presented with when you download a file – displaying the period passed and the period remaining until the pre-allotted period has elapsed in relation to the completion of each goal set.
In many ways this reminds me of the Sands + Time watch featured only a few days ago on this very site – and accessible via this link – though the styles are completely different. And, in all honestly, I think I prefer the Sands + Time concept but that’s not intended in any way to be disparaging to this watch which, in the scheme of things, is still pretty impressive and also distinctly retro in flavour.
You can gain more details concerning this concept piece as well as peruse Pierre’s other impressive design work via this link.
