The (Digital) Sands of Time

Sands of Time WatchAs regular readers will know we here at TFTS Towers have a particular fascination for watches and, in particular, the digital visual representation of the passing of time in general.

And, in mind of this, I must confess that my heart skipped a jump when I stumbled across this rather novel and distinctly eye-catching watch from Russian designer Pavel Balykin.

Displaying an hour glass in digital format, the watch’s default setting is to count down each minute but the user can override this setting thus allowing the watch to count down the fractions of time of your choosing – though the watch also offers a more traditional mode of displaying the time in a traditional numbered format.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, the Sands + Time watch – as it’s known – remains only a concept though I would hope that investors would flock to assist in making this marvellous concept into a commercially available product.
