I am still yet to fathom quite why anyone would want to actually purchase any of these Buildings of Disaster Souvenirs as, personally, a replica of Three Mile Island (as featured) or Chernobyl cast in bonded nickel doesn’t exactly float my boat but, as they say, it takes all sorts to make up the world.
The limited edition Buildings of Disaster series features a total of nine separate building replicas where “some tragic or terrible events happened to take place” which, as well as those mentioned above, also include the Pentagon, the Texas Schoolbook Repository, Alma Place Tunnel and Oklahoma City Federal Building.
Retailing at $110.00 each – thus proving that tastelessness doesn’t necessarily come cheap – these supremely tacky ornaments are available from this site.
What next? A series of the world’s greatest aircraft crashes cast in bronze, perhaps, with diamond studded victims strewn across each model’s plinth?

How wonderfully tasteless!
I visited the site and I can’t get over the fact that while the “OJ car chase” has it’s own replica, 911 doesn’t even get an honorable mention?
