Caparo T1On the premise that sometimes we are told that less is more, I could, of course, distill everything about the Caparo T1 into this single, solitary sentence and post, safe in the knowledge that readers across this big, wide world of ours are reaching down to pick their bottom lips off the floor in unison. And that sentence is this:

Take the power-to-weight ratio of the Bugatti Veyron, double it, then add a little more just for good measure and you have the Caparo T1.

Developed by engineers who worked on the McLaren F1, the two seater, street legal carbon fibre Caparo T1 can accelerate from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds courtesy of its light weight aluminium V8 480bhp engine – which translates to an astounding 1000bhp per tonne – and is built to F1 aerodynamic and structural standards so as to withstand lateral acceleration and braking forces of over 3g.
