The Laser Beam Personal Safe
When I was a child I remember the day that I was given a small personal safe as a present. The safe was a small, standard lock and key affair and of the two keys supplied with the product I retained one and my parents retained the other – thus negating the whole purpose of the safe in the first place. Nevertheless, as a small child the very idea that I had somewhere private in the world to store things felt extremely empowering even though I could never quite work out what I was supposed to put in there.
Times have changed, of course, and now, thanks to this cool product from the Discovery Store, your children can own a safe that is not only protected by motion detecting lasers but also a thumb-print reader and the obligatory secret code – input via a hidden, sliding panel keypad.
The Laser Beam Safe costs $29.95 and you can visit the product page via this link.

When I was young, my parents also gave me a personal safe, keeping the spare key for themselves.
I managed to pinch it off their dresser the very next day. Maybe I’ll own up to my crime and tell them about during this Christmas.
