The Fish Bladder Inflation Ornament & Other Curiosities

I am going to put myself on the line here and say that this is unequivocally the most bizarre item that I have ever come across and, considering some of the bizarre items we have already featured on TFTS I accept that such a bold statement may come as somewhat of a shock to regular readers.

Very little information is available about this absurd device except to say that it costs 120,000 Yen and that the product description is given on the site as follows (and I quote):

“Fish bladder incased in glass container. Control air pressure in the container by operating the cylinder pump to move the fish bladder.”

And if you think this is bizarre, you haven’t seen anything yet…read on.
