Audi Quattroflex Concept CarOf the many future car concepts we have seen of late here at TFTS Towers, the Audi Quattroflex, which has the distinction of winning a “Best Use of Technology Award” at the Interior Motives Design Awards 2006, is certainly one of the most visually striking.

Designed by Alexey Bykov, a student of the Ural State Academy of Arts and Architecture, the Quattroflex is composed of an open carriage manufactured from flexible materials set between front and back cylinders that serve to house the mechanics. And, rather than being controlled by a conventional steering wheel, the Quattroflex is driven using a joystick set in the centre of the vehicle – which cleverly allows for both left and right hand drive without modification.
