The Jumpsnap

When I first saw this I thought it could be one of two things – either a modern, technological take on the game of conkers or some sort of self pleasuring device that allowed you to ride your own body like a motorcycle (which reminds me, I really must book an appointment with my therapist).

In actuality it transpires that this is a skipping rope, except without the rope and, according to the official website at least, it’s taking America by storm as it removes any chance there is of tripping, as with standard skipping ropes, and quite apart from counting how many skips you’ve done it also offers suitably apt sound effects.
