Curious Gadget – What could this be?

Of course, it would be true to say that as every day passes some of the technology and gadgets I come across could at best be deemed as bizarre and, at worst, as being utterly stupid and I would suggest that this contraption more than probably falls in the latter category.

But what could it possibly be? Can you guess? A set of earphones for a mouse, perhaps, or could it be a modern variation of a clothes peg? The answer is that it is neither of these. No, what this has been designed to achieved is, believe it or not, somewhat more bizarre than either of these suggestions.

The answer is that this is a nose re-shaper that, apparently, if worn will allow you to re-shape the features of your nose without you having to pay for expensive plastic surgery.

In fact, more than that, according to the advertisement, as you can see, the use of this device will assist you in not only having a nose like Cleopatra but to “Be a Cleopatra’s Nose”.

Now, I don’t want to be picky here, but hasn’t Cleopatra been dead for a little while now – so one can only hazard a guess at what exactly her nose would look like (nothing, I expect). And, more than that, whilst I, frankly, wouldn’t mind my own nose being a little different the very idea of actually becoming the nose of a dead person really does not appeal to me in the least.

So yes, I would “miss the chance”. Would you?
