Taps that Illuminate Water According to Temperature

The Tempreature Lighted TapI have a particular fondness for technology that adds that little something to otherwise hopelessly mundane objects and a company called Equa have done just that with their rather snazzy Light Delight water taps that illuminate the flowing water according to its temperature – with genuinely beautiful results.

As with all great ideas, the idea seems so very simple though in practice I don’t doubt that this was somewhat harder to put into practice than the finished result implies – but that is, of course, a measure of the technology behind the concept being realised with such finesse.

You can see a video presentation of Equa’s Light Delight water taps in action after the jump.

Details concerning these taps is a little sparse at the moment and it would appear that, presently, they are not commercially available – hence I cannot ascertain pricing – though it would appear that the company is gearing up to offer them as a purchasable product.

You can see these rather remarkable taps in action by watching the video below.

What a marvellous idea (I have already added these to my ever expanding and hopelessly unaffordable inventory concerning my dream house).
